Regulations and Policies
On this page you will find the most important regulations and guidelines for our students.
School Rules
The school rules state the fundamental rules of conduct which govern community life at the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, based on its Philosophy and Objectives statement. The key values they encompass are Learning for Life, Self-Discipline, Commitment, Fair Play and Internationalism. The School Rules are an integral part of the school contract and are binding for all members of the school community.
Boarding Houses
True to our Mission Statement, we provide our boarding students with an education which promotes intellectual, emotional and physical balance. We work to create a thriving international community where young people from all over the world can build the foundations for fulfilling and purposeful lives. The guidelines of the boarding house rules are valid for school, but also for leisure time and school holidays.
Attendance and Absences
The regulations govern tuition in all departments of the school as well as optional courses, remedial classes, homework support lessons, private lessons, instrumental Music classes and Games. They apply to all boarding and day students, irrespective of section and school year. The school rules require that students attend all lessons without fail. For foreseeable absences a written request must be submitted in advance (the school’s form must be used).
Access, Inclusion, and Special Educational Needs and Disability Policy
In order to ensure equality of educational opportunity for all, the School as an inclusive school acknowledges the inequalities inherent in learning and provides special educational provisions for learners with special educational needs.
Child Protection Policies
The safeguarding and child protection policy as well as the mental health and wellbeing policy guarantee the welfare of all students at the school by maintaining an open and secure environment for all students.
