Teacher of Business
The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is an international boarding school with a history stretching back over 120 years, located near St. Moritz in the heart of the scenic Engadin valley (Switzerland). 220 boarders from around the world and 110 local day students study at our school for the Swiss Matura, the IGCSE, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Business educator to inspire and challenge students within our dynamic international learning environment. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application of business concepts.
Teacher of Business
Starting August 2025
Workload: 40% – 60% (with potential for increased workload if able to offer another subject)
Responsibilities
- Teach Business across all year groups from Grade 9 to Grade 12, including IB Business Management at Higher and Standard Level.
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons that promote inquiry-based learning and business acumen.
- Ability to teach IB Economics is desirable but not essential.
- Act as a tutor (pastoral responsibilities may be included as part of the role).
- Engage actively in the school’s extra-curricular programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support and develop cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) teaching experience (desirable but not essential).
- Proven experience teaching diverse learners in an international context.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and engagement in both academic and co-curricular programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative, multicultural environment.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to engage in the life of a residential school.
- Swiss/EU/EFTA citizenship is an advantage.
